                                 “TEAR OFF” WALLPAPER BY ZNAK


Applying wallpaper to walls has never been so fun. With this perforated “tear off” wallpaper from ZNAK, you can customize the appearance of your space by tearing off the pieces as you please. The wallpaper is created out of non-woven material and the shapes are inspired by the the transformation process of snakes.

AKIO HIRATA’S EXHIBITION OF HATS




Nendo‘s latest project is Akio Hirata’s Exhibition of Hats.

An installation of about 4,000 mass-produced non-woven fabric hats seem to become the walls and ceiling in no specific pattern, enabling the viewer to wander through the space in any way they like.

MIND-BENDING NENDO EXHIBITION IN TAIWAN



Nendo has a solo exhibition going on through the end of August at the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute that features two collections: Thin Black Lines and Dancing Squares.

Thin Black Lines s a collection of furniture formed from “Still Black,” whose installation looks

Dancing Squares is a collection based on the concept of “Active White,” which has been installed onto a room-sized sketch affixed to walls and floor with a fish-eye lens-like effect as though viewers are seeing it through a tiny water drop.

PENCIL SHAVING PORTRAITS BY KYLE BEAN






British artist Kyle Bean, best known for his intricate sculptures made out of unusual materials, has created a series of portraits from colored pencil shavings for the contributors page of Wallpaper* Handmade 2011.

CINDY LAMP BY BONAGURO GIORGIO




The Cindy lamp, designed by Bonaguro Giorgio, has a simple and iconic shape drawn from classic inspirations.

Both the body and shade are made of Pyrex transparent glass, and the colored cord, which comes out of a little “arm”, gives it just a bit of extra flair.
